Having recently studied anatomy at Kings College Hospital and drawing directly from both cadavers and wax models, this series of work was inspired by historical wax sculptures of anatomy, and their somewhat romanticized and classical approach to the subject. Naomi created the pieces with the original exhibition venue in mind, a disused and neglected building at London Bridge, drawing inspiration from the dilapidation and powerful atmosphere of the exhibition venue, and the idea that the body of the building itself was to be taken apart shortly after the show.
